Pashk Pervathi - Poet of Albanian Painting
Five years after publishing his first album, Pashk Pėrvathi proves himself as the most active painter in Albania, publishing yet another. His numerous admirers will be very content and pleased by the formal evolution of one of the most prominent landscape painters of the Albanian contemporary art.
Being a Creator of such album is fun, unique, and difficult experience as well. You go through the edges of dilemmas during this conceiving and arranging process. Pervathi is a great expert of nature. His nature is seen as welcoming, defensive, tightly bound, a shelter and eternal home to man. His eye separates and unites the form of trees, leaves, stones, range, shadowing, hills, rivers, valleys, mountains and fields that are excuses for a constant search of a painters plan. Pashk Pėrvathi investigates nature. The painting theme is developed from the external structure of objects that he sees as sign of the existence of human depth unified with continuous recognition of life.
Many of Pervathis work of the first creative phase and also the recent ones are the fruit of a refined observation of the landscape in all seasons and in all aspects of the course, seen through his soul that spontaneously erupt into a poetic song in honor of nature. He recognizes and "travels" in his country's geography. He is a Lezha painter as well as Ionian Riviera, Drenovės, Vithkuqit, Beratit, Korcės, Shkodrės, Mirditės. He is in search of beauty. His works are figurative reminiscences.
Somewhere a lonely horse, a flock elsewhere in miniature, horses in a field of immense, a cat and a dog at the threshold of the parents house , a lonely house surrounded with haystack on the top of the hill, a boat on the shore, pebbles (stones) of silver mosaic nature of Ionian coast, a chestnut forest in the Autumn similar with Galilee at "Song of Songs" - they all make up the major lyric theme of Pashk Pervathi , his nostalgic silence, his way of allegations, his poetic Albanian painter. I have to admit once again that Autumn remains at the top of his inspiration.
